Inviting Saul to a Louisiana barn raising was a naive mistake. When Saul showed up, he turned it into a good old hoedown, complete with his own drool inducing BBQ brisket. But what BBQ is complete without a nice smokey fire? Too bad the barn was the only thing to burn, but lucky for us smoked BBQ brisket, along with Louisiana Cajun seasonings, makes damn good jerky.
The Cajun BBQ Brisket starts with strong notes of honey and barbeque, but don’t be fooled into thinking this is a mild jerky. The taste of Cajun chili creeps in and lingers after chewing this limited time only flavor. The tender, thick cut jerky also imparts hints of smoke and black pepper. This slow building but invigorating combination of flavors will be enjoyed by one and all.
